It’s not unusual at all for us to be contacted, quite frankly, at the scene of the accident. It can be extremely helpful to be speaking to an attorney right after it happens to help you check the boxes of things that you might otherwise be forgetting, like snapping some pictures or grabbing information from witnesses. I would say the sooner the better. Certainly, once you are settled in and you receive the initial treatment that you need, or as soon as possible thereafter. If you let days or even weeks pass, there can be some catching up to be done from the attorney that sometimes you can’t always get back.
