Should I provide statements to my insurance company and the insurance company of the driver who hit me?

For our clients who are injured, when it comes to your own insurance company, let’s say, Geico is a very common carrier in the state of Florida. If Geico is my own client’s insurance and Geico wants a statement from our client, more often than not, the policy of insurance requires that we communicate with Geico to be compliant with the policy. Rest assured that our attorneys and our staff will walk you through every step of those conversations. In the overwhelming majority of all those conversations, we will either be on the phone or right there with you.

Now let’s turn that over to the adverse driver or the person who hit you. Let’s call them Allstate. If Allstate is calling you asking questions, my answer is different. The answer is you can pick up the phone and tell Allstate that you hired an attorney, give them our information, and we will exclusively speak with Allstate. Do not answer Allstate’s calls.
