Stephanie M. Taylor is an Attorney with Thompson Legal, P.A. with extensive trial, real estate, bankruptcy, and appeal experience. She has been zealously practicing law in south Florida since 2011, is licensed in Florida state courts, the Federal Court for the Southern District of Florida, and the Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Florida. Ms. Taylor’s primary litigation practice areas include: real estate litigation, residential and commercial foreclosure defense, Plaintiff’s PIP, personal injury, bankruptcy, and appeals.
On a day-to-day basis, Ms. Taylor can be found arguing complex motions or attending trial in the Tri-County Area (Palm Beach, Broward, and Miami-Dade) while also managing a full case load and tending to client affairs. As an attorney, Ms. Taylor understands her role as both an advocate and counselor. She continually strives to meet client objectives by truly listening to the client’s intentions, communicating effectively, and diligently working to protect her client’s rights.
Ms. Taylor obtained her law degree from Nova Southeastern University in Fort Lauderdale where she graduated in the top 6% of her class with magna cum laude honors. Academically, she further earned a Merit Scholarship and six book awards. Outside of the classroom, Ms. Taylor spear-headed a three-day human rights symposium titled Get Up Stand Up: Homophobia in the Caribbean while also juggling her duties as an Article Editor of the ILSA Journal of International Law and Jessup Moot Court Competitor.
Prior to law school, Ms. Taylor attended Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University as a student athlete earning a scholarship and a four-year starting goalkeeper position for the Embry Riddle Women’s Soccer Team. There, she likewise excelled academically with a 3.98 GPA and summa cum laude honors which earned her a Bachelor of Science in Communication and a minor in Human Factors & System Psychology.
Personally, Ms. Taylor is a North Carolina native who enjoys playing and coaching soccer, surfing, reading non-fiction, and community service.
