Can passengers sue Uber or Lyft for accident injuries?

Yes. Passengers that are traveling in an Uber or Lyft can make a claim for their injuries against Uber or Lyft and their insurance company for the injury sustained. It does depend obviously on whose fault it is. If it is another vehicle’s fault, not the Uber driver, and that vehicle has sufficient insurance, then ultimately you wouldn’t be bringing a claim for your injuries against Uber or Lyft, you’d be bringing it against the at-fault party.
